Since its formation, Cruz has been partnering with a local business, Momella Saw Mills Ltd, to build new classrooms and outfit schools around Usa River with much-needed desks and chairs.

Like most rural Tanzanian communities, the Usa River community has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to supporting education of their children and so our effort in this area is much appreciated by the community. While on your tour and if time allows, you will be able to see first hand the kind of community development work we do in our area and once you see the benefit to the children you will understand why it is an important way for us to pay back to our community.

We have also partnered with this community to provide funding for the construction and renovation of several classrooms and a much-needed school latrine facility. Cruz has also recently approached a Canadian community development company, Seacliff Global Development Corporation, to help in funding the installation of a small solar power project in schools. This solar project is important because we also plan to get to organize funding for used computers to be distributed to these schools.
